Assignment #23

I have learned so much from this experience. On a personal level, I enjoyed working on The Library Thing, Youtube and Bloglines with the RSS feeds the most, but everything that I've learned will make me a better librarian.
Many of the tasks were difficult to complete, but not impossible. I am proud of the knowledge that I've gained and the 10 training hours that I've earned...........even though it probably took me 50!

Assignment #22

HCPL's digital site is attractive and easy to use. I attended training when we first added it to our collection. I'd like to see children's music added. Wowio is appealing, also. Browsing can be accomplished by subject, age and publisher. Not too sure about LibriVox, only books in the public domain are included, and sometimes just chapters, so the collection is not as vast.
I prefer to read my books, not listen to them. I do not use an ipod either, so my personal use of these sources is limited. I am glad to be aware of these resources so that I can pass on the information to our customers.

Assignment #21

I added the podcast "The Art of Storytelling with Children" to my Bloglines playlist. I found this podcast using Yahoo. I never noticed the audio search option. Went to Goggle to see if I could do the same there, and couldn't. I searched using "storytelling" and had many choices, more than when I searched on podcast.net.

Assignment #20

I enjoy watching YouTube. Here is a clip from "The Office", which is my very favorite tv show. I hope the writers strike ends soon. I could easily spend hours watching and never get bored!

Time to try..Zoho Assignment #19

Time to try Zohocool!!

It was very easy to publish a post to my blog with Zoho Writer. I like being able to organize my work with tags and that my documents can be saved online. Zoho is a tool that I can see myself using again.
